About Embrace:Embrace was founded at Penn State University in an effort to begin a movement to empower women, of all ages, to accept themselves for who they are, instead of conforming to someone else’s idea of beauty. We aim to help women find their own identity, their own unique personality, and help them love themselves and be comfortable in their own skin. We want to tear down the stipulations of beauty that our culture has created, and replace them with acceptance, acceptance of different hair, eyes, skin colors, and body types. We want to unite to end the monopoly on beauty, created by western culture. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful, and everyone deserves to feel comfortable enough to be themselves. We want to gain awareness of the misconception of beauty, to embrace a new idea of beauty, one that is all our own. |
